But guys, I think you were ...First GO GIANTS!!!!!

But guys, I think you were talking about the Minnesota primary not the Michigan primary. Remember Minnesota, the state that gave us Jesse Ventura as governor and Al Franken as Senator, interesting choices to say the least. Michigan is being held the Feb 28th (two days from now as of this posting). In Minnesota, Santorum did come in first and Romney did come in third behind Paul. If Romney were to finish third in Michigan there will be an implosion like no one has ever seen in the Republican party. Heh… would be very entertaining.

I think it’s interesting that in two of the Republican caucus’s held, Iowa and Maine, they could not accurately declare results that properly counted all the votes cast. This, from the party that is on a blatant campaign of voter suppression with photo ID requirements and opposition to same day registration which disproportionally excludes poor, minority and elderly voting.

However to all my republican friends, Rick Santorum?? Really??? And Penguin, I wouldn’t use the word rational to describe his position. I think he is pretty intolerant of any outside of his narrow religious self righteous point of view. There is no way he could represent ALL Americans without imposing his narrow ethical ethos.

The Georgia math test thing, I had not heard that. I Googled it, you have got to be kidding. This is why I am always nervous with block granting programs back to States with out oversight.Thurmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06030013495038555975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9141075773009248965.post-64098915363068800782012-02-26T16:01:39.317-08:002012-02-26T16:01:39.317-08:00First GO GIANTS!!!!!

I just wondered if this progress toward programs vs. teachers would mostly benefit the poorer students. It could let them learn at their own pace, they probably won't have good teacher relationships anyway and their success would certainly be a boost to their feelings of self worth. The relationship angle would seem to me to be more important with HS and College students...T Fab Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13771747457670120840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9141075773009248965.post-88299928363103286872012-01-20T15:39:54.931-08:002012-01-20T15:39:54.931-08:00A fun episode as always. I’m embarrassed I missed it. Two points Max and TFab.

An interesting discussion on teachers vs. online instructional programs. It was pretty relevant to me as I have talked about that with my kids as it seems a majority of their college courses are online to varying degrees. There have always been correspondence courses as an option basically for non-traditional students but it seems to me that the increased use in the main stream is more a cost cutting trend by universities than any altruistic “it’s better” argument. As a supplement sure, I am all for using technology to reach more people and as a enforcement. But in the end, I would argue that nothing beats a good teacher to interact and inspire which can have a lifetime impact when they reach a student. Let’s see a program do that HAL.

ZachAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9141075773009248965.post-72921923480737959042011-04-02T11:04:40.115-07:002011-04-02T11:04:40.115-07:00Loved the story about the Zoo parking lot attendan...Loved the story about the Zoo parking lot attendant!
